After a brief orientation and a tour of the venue, we kicked off the event with some refreshing drinks and caught up with some old friends. Fuelled by some Belgian fries, we delved into brainstorming sessions within our teams, exploring the potential fusion of blockchain and AI technologies to come up with some crazy but creative ideas. With a solid plan in place, we eagerly awaited the next day to commence the real hacking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:79px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">April 20:<br>The day started early with a hearty breakfast, followed by discussions on refining our chosen solution. As we dove into programming and tinkering with the AI aspect, the pieces began to fall into place, culminating in a functional AI model. Satisfied with the AI&#8217;s responsiveness, we shifted focus to enhancing the user interface, opting for an iPhone layout to simulate a natural conversation experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Our concept? An AI girlfriend\/companion, designed to provide personalized interactions. We expanded our project by adding an introductory page explaining the AI companion&#8217;s functionalities and integrating a Metamask blockchain wallet connection for users. Despite encountering technical hiccups nearing the deadline, we rallied as a team to resolve them swiftly. Rejuvenated by a pizza lunch, we confidently pitched our innovative idea during the presentation session, garnering praise for its creativity. Although our team didn&#8217;t clinch a spot in the top three, we celebrated the success of fellow participants, including the standout &#8220;404 Error &#8211; Brain Not Found&#8221; team. As the day drew to a close with an award ceremony, we reflected on the invaluable experience gained from participating in the 2024 edition of the Web3 &amp; AI hackathon at Howest.
